INFORMACIÓN DEL PROYECTO
In Equator, electric lines are usually built on rights-of-way, which vary in voltage, height, longitude and others. However, lower-voltage distribution lines called distribution feeders are generally built in neighborhoods. These elements are potential sources of exposure to magnetic and electric fields (EMF). Persons are unavoidably exposed to their effects, which so much attention has been given to the possibility that EMF are associated with adverse effects. In this context, residential and industrial exposure to low frequency electric and magnetic fields generated for Electrical Substations and Distribution Feeders has been associated with health problems like childhood leukaemia and cancer, which are still under research.
The aim of this work is to analyze and determine the low frequency magnetic and electric field exposure in utilities worker in Equator that currently work in distribution feeders. Besides that, this work is focused to mitigate industrial exposure values that might be attributable to real-life Distribution Feeders and Electrical Substations. The exposure-reduction method is estimated thought the placement of Screen Conductors. Finite Elements (FE) based simulation will be used to estimate industrial frequency exposure values and determine the exposure-reduction optimal topology.
Objetivo general:
- To analyze levels of electromagnetic field on humans produced by distribution feeders, looking alternatives to mitigate these level according to international standard.
Objetivos específicos:
- To develop a distribution feeder model useful to obtain different electric and magnetic fields, which to allow simulate space or air, aluminum conductor, ground and other.
- To determine electric and magnetic field levels with and without any mitigation technique.
